Working through the systems

Ok, heading down the path to getting the car painted but wanted to work through all the systems.  This will ensure no modifications are needed once painted.  I decided to go with a hydroboost brake system for more clearance, no vacuum disruption, more braking force.

Also, after the Jeep project, it was made clear to me that I very much wanted power steering.  For some reason manual steering didn't seem like a problem when I was younger.  So, the Jeep and now the C2 have been upgraded to power steering.

  1. Was considering Hydro boost for my Firebird. Got any tips on what parts I'd need?

    1. The system I got has a pass through of the high pressure line from the pump which then goes to the power steering box. I'll have 2 separate return going back to the reservoir. Otherwise it's fairly simple. I spent the money to have one with a mounting bracket made for my car. If you have time on your hands, it would be simple to fabricate. I wanted some special valve covers that were going to cause some clearance issues with the power brake booster. That is what mostly lead me down this path.
